Wow! I can hardly believe the year is half gone. Staying busy doesn’t seem very hard to do anymore.
Mom and Dad and I together are keeping 6 kids. Two four year olds. Three yr. old twins. A 9 mo. old, and a 4 mo. old. Stacy and I help out when we are home. In the picture to the right mom and I recovered this couch at the beginning of the year.

This adorable little dog belongs to some folks I clean for. He is a pretty light grey. One day he ran up to me wanting to be pet and was covered in MUD! I snapped a picture and took it in to show the owner. She said “that’s a cute little dog. Whose is it?”

In February I went to the wedding of Heidi and Jared Brenner. The couple had waited till their wedding day to even touch. A very honorable and commendable example. Jared spoke to Heidi’s father to have his approval before ever even approaching her. Believe you me that was some first kiss. We applauded, he had earned the right to enjoy a nice long one.

In March we went on a trip to Alabama for a family reunion. The tree to the left once stood in front of the porch of the old home place where my great grandmother was born. Just down the road was the church where my great grandparents met. Stacy and I also got to visit the Butlers while in Al.

In April I worked on my bees. Two of my hives swarmed. I bought 4 more off of a local beekeeper. Dad and I worked hard building new equipment and supers to store honey. I learn something every year. The bees build a rainbow on each frame. They lay eggs in the center bottom. Over that they store a ring of pollen, then in the top corners they store honey. In the bottom of the frames they build drone cells. I cut some of them off because they are free loaders eating up good honey.
May brought with it a “pig out” at our relatives on Wattsbar Lake. We stayed over night and grilled a pig in a pit. One week, Stacy and I took a camping trip. We bought an inflatable raft and paddled out to an island and had lunch. We were glad to get home to some decent food because we charred every thing we tried to cook. At least we didn’t forget half our stuff this time.

June we had the twins a birthday party and had a big water fight. Check out this cut little fella. This is Bently with cake icing all over his face. Stacy, Arah, and I enjoyed campmeeting in GA. I especially got help from David Gibbs message on ‘Lasciviousness’. We have so much fun, I love to be a help in the kitchen. Carla Pipes, Sarah Williams, & I helped make biscuits one day. We called Carla the “blobber.”
On July 23rd I will become an aunt to Ella Rose Abner. A big responsibility. I’ve been making a lot of baby things. One especially is a cream lace dress. I borrowed an embroidery machine and have had a hay day with it.
Somewhere along the way I started selling Avon. It has been fun, but sometimes I am so crazy headed. I originally started to help us with ideas for our Secret Sister thing at church. We have all enjoyed doing it so much. It has been a real blessing.

Our garden is coming along after the weed killer incident. We were able to replant for a fraction of the cost because of a green house sale. No corn or beans yet. We’ll have to see if we have potatoes. What we do have is cabbage and onions.
This morning as we walked out the door to head to church we found my cat having kittens in the flower bed. There are four. One each of black, white, grey, and a calico.
